Internet-mediated drug trafficking: counteraction at the present stage

The article considers the proposals aimed at improving the counteraction to drug distribution through the Internet. The relevance of the study is due to the rapid growth of the use of digital technologies in the illicit drug trade. Virtual environment provides anonymity and accessibility, which makes it difficult to detect and suppress criminal activity. Drug distribution via the Internet became transboundary in nature, erasing geographical boundaries and complicating interagency cooperation.
