Conducting tests of a multi-zone electric filter for dusting air of agricultural areas

The high density of birds in a confined space is the one of the problems in the poultry industry. This problem leads to microclimate parameters decline and to increase in bird morbidity. It is known that electrostatic precipitators are widely used to clean the air of agricultural premises from dust. Electrostatic precipitators have various designs, while their efficiency in the fight against dust varies from 80 to 99%, depending on the design parameters and the state of the indoor air. The most cost-effective solution is the use of two-zone electrostatic precipitators in agricultural premises, which have a simple design and low power consumption. The purpose of the article is to study the effectiveness of using a multi-zone electrostatic precipitator for air purification, depending on the number of collecting plates and the size of dust particles. The results of the study have showed a positive effect from the use of a multi-zone electrostatic precipitator with two collecting plates.
