The author of the article analyzes the latest novel of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation with regard to the competence of bodies of state registration of rights to conduct verification of the legality of notarial acts, acts of state authorities and local self-government, the possibility of failure in carrying out state registration of rights on the grounds of the illegality of the acts.
