Mental health and quality of life of children and adolescents with sensory disorders (review of foreign literature)

This review presents data about research of mental health of children with hearing and sight disorders discussed in foreign press. Questions of prevalence of mental disorders in this category of children, peculiarities of clinic, behavior (including suicidal one), and influence of various factors on mental health of children are discussed. Attention has been paid to quality of life, questions of rehabilitation and social adaptation.
