Psychodynamic and spiritual paradigm of depressive disorder

Depression, the most commonly experienced mental disorders in contemporary world, affects people of all ages and represents a major psychological, medical and social problem. This article provides professionals with an overview of current data on the depression as dual diagnosis, including personality disorders, PTSD and anxiety states. Depressive disorders are described with special emphasis on their psychodynamic and treatment - drug therapy, psychotherapy and the interactions of psychopharmacological therapy and psychotherapy. The presentation has a goal to promote a more understanding of depression for psychiatrists, psychologist and health professionals.
