Psychophysiological markers of the central nervous system in girls of the Tver State Medical University

The present study was conducted on girls attending the Tver State Medical University (n = 93). We found that while performing a cognitive load in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle, girls had large values of the latent period of the P300 EP and the MSD indices. In all examined girls, regardless of the phase of the menstrual cycle, the duration of the P300 latency negatively correlates with the volume of short-term auditory memory. EP P300 is an electrophysiological correlate of cognitive processes throughout the MC. The psychological state and features of the sensorimotor response to the performance of simple and complex visual motor reactions are associated with cyclic changes of the function state of CNS.
