Effect of exposure of rat males to gamma-radiation at dose of 1.5 Gy, dose rate 3´10 -3 Gy/s on psychophysiological development of their first and second generations was studied. The rats were exposed to radiation at different stages of spermatogenesis. Cognitive function of brain in both generations was tested using shuttle-box avoidance method. Irradiation of male rats at all stages of spermatogenesis produced negative effect on the first generation, the adverse radiation-induced effect on the second generation was less pronounced.
