The article deals with psychological structure of the teachers’ vocational competence. Analyzing the professionalism and the vocational competence concepts, the authors make an attempt to define intrinsic, essential features forming the environment, in which the professional personality develops. The most typical areas of the professional teacher formation are discussed.
