Psychological aspects of trust in the media in situations of risk

The article deals with the dynamics of trust in modern mass media in a «risk society» (U. Beck). The authors analyze the reasons for the weakening of trust in the media and its stabilization, depending on the severity of the situation in the political and social spheres of life. Media reputation as a guarantee of stable trust in a crisis situation.
