Psychological peculiarities of the personality of women of maden age with normal and excess weight: comparative analysis

The article reviews the results of an empirical study devoted to a comparative analysis of the psychological characteristics of mature women with normal and overweight. The experimental sample consisted of 20 overweight women, a control sample of 20 women with normal weight. Differences in the psychological characteristics of women with normal and excessive weight, relative to the severity of alexithymia, self-esteem, self-acceptance, self-guidance, adaptive strategies of coping behavior, attitude to one's own body are revealed.
