Psychological portrait of the criminal in criminology: approaches to understanding and perspectives of development

In this scientific article, the authors investigate the topical issues of development and use of the methodology of psychological portrait in the process of crime investigation. Various ways to understand this concept are noted, and the prospects for further development of this institution in the Russian Federation are also reflected.
