The psychology of museum communication: theoretical and practical aspects of the study

The article is analyzed some of the modern theories of museum communication, developed by the Russian and Western museology. Based on information theory, empathy, the semantic field conception, the mechanism of museum communication is described from the standpoint of Psychology. Conducted in the State Hermitage, the data of some studies are the examples of practical application of psychology of museum communication.
