The Pskov Caves Monastery during the Synodal Period: Events and Faces

The article reveals the history of the Pskov Caves Monastery during the Synodal Period. We are talking not only about events, but also about historical figures of both national and local significance. The position of the monastery in the period of secularization is considered. Particular attention is paid to the expansion and change of the architectural ensemble of the monastery. Emphasis is placed on the construction and educational activities of the abbots of the monastery.
