Pushkin and the problem of Russian universality

In this article the fundamental role of A. S. Pushkin in the formation of universality (as a particular world-openness and readiness for intercultural dialogues) in the Russian literature is revealed. It is shown that one of the ways of statement of universality is the transition from shakespearization to shakespearism, which took place in the Pushkin's creative work and was inherited by other great Russian writers.
