Pushkinistics in the national ballet studies: a historiographical review

The article presents a historiographical review of the studies devoted to the interpretation of Pushkin's works on the ballet stage. Pushkin's ballets enriched literally every stage of the development of the national ballet, were the impetus for the formation of a new aesthetics in the choreographic art. Ballet theatre could not easily achieve unity and integrity in the transmission of literary works of Alexander Pushkin on the stage. The author analyzes the key ballet studies devoted to Pushkin and the ballet theatre: the works of V.I. Svetlov, L.P. Grossman, N. Shuvalov, A. Ilyina, V.M. Krasovskaya, N. Elyasha and Yu.M. Slonimsky, A.A. Gozenpud, etc.
