Harvester logging: improvement of the assortments yield

Wide application of the “harvester-forwarder” logging technology in the Arkhangelsk region brings forth a problem of the assortments yield registration accuracy. This paper presents the results of the study of the assortments lengths after a harvester head bucking. The authors conducted comparison between the lengths fixed be the means of a harvester computer system and the corresponding data obtained after item-by-item measurements in accordance with the regulatory documents. The results of the study show necessity of the yield registration system improvement.
