Rationality of a modern economic man on the example of a representative of the creative middle class of an innovative region

The article is devoted to the study of the transformation of rationality of economic man. It is shown how the transformation of rationality is manifested in the criteria of the creative middle class. The study was conducted on the example of one of the innovative regions. The hypothesis that there is a fairly high share of the middle class in the innovation region has been confirmed. The article shows how the new essential characteristics of the creative middle class and changes in rationality are interrelated. We used scientific data from Russian and foreign researchers, the results of all-Russian sociological surveys and research materials conducted with the financial support of the RFBR as part of a research project. It is revealed that there is not a complete correspondence between the main features of self-identification with the middle class in the Tomsk region and the features identified on the basis of theoretical concepts and the results of some applied research. The creativity of the middle class is not sufficiently inherent in the subjective middle class in the Tomsk region. The presence/dominance of pronounced innovative features in the activities of the subjective middle class in the Tomsk region was not revealed. In this study, we are forced to limit ourselves only to the statement of facts at a specific time and territory due to the lack of such studies on a regular basis.
