Radiation risk of mortality and reduced lifespan of daphnids gamma-irradiated at low doses

Бесплатный доступ

The results of daily based observations for the crustaceans Daphnia magna populations, irradiated at doses of 0.01; 0.1 and 1.0 Gy have been presented. The tables of lifespan have been used for the analysis of the daphnids' survival. The dynamics of the proportion of survivors after acute γ-irradiation and the duration of daphnids' live span have been compared. Irradiation at dose of 0.1 Gy and more resulted in significant increased risk of daphnids' mortality and shorten of their lifespan.
