Radio as an agent of political information for the population of the Soviet Far East in the 1930's (the case of Primorye)

Based on archival documents, the article traces the development of radio broadcasting in the Soviet Far East focusing on Primorye. The author examines the changes in the information content of the broadcasts of the central and local radio committees in the 1930s, analyzes the political information component of broadcasting, as well as technical and personnel problems that faced the regional broadcasting.
