Radioecological model for transport of radioiodine and radiocesium in food chains after radiological accidents and discharge of radioactive substances to atmosphere for study of mechanism of formation of internal radiation doses to population. Part 4. Study of mechanism of formation doses from internal radiation exposure to population following the Chernobyl accident

The purpose of the study is to examine the contribution of different factors to internal doses to population residing in territories contaminated as the result of the Chernobyl accident. The model takes into account the following key parameters: dynamics of radioactive fallout under different weather conditions, undertaken countermeasures, diet and age of the population. We ranged influence of different factors on internal dose to city dwellers. Consumption of green goods produced least effect and milk produced the highest effect because cows consumed radiocontaminated forage. Such factor as inhalation of radionuclides was between green goods and milk. Key factors influencing on the internal radiation dose ranged from low to high are as follows: precipitations less than 0.1 mm131I)
Mathematical model, radionuclides transport of iodine, radionuclides transport of caesium, food chains, radiation accident, internal doses
