Broadcasting as sociocultural technology in the socio-historical continuum

The article considers the evolution of broadcasting as a sociocultural technology, the way to form domestic radio content from simple signal transmission to the genre variety of various programs by developing an editorial structure and focus on both a wide and specifically narrow audience. The author gave an analysis of the role of broadcasting in the spiritual life of Soviet and Russian society in a historical retrospective, highlighted the specifics of the radio content of each historical period on the basis of solving the most important state tasks and ensuring social solidarity.
