Early stages of the developing of television broadcasting in the United States (1920-50s): organizational, technical and software concepts

The economic, organizational and technological history of American television broadcasting is reviewed in the article. The evolution of broadcasting technology from mechanical to electronic and from black-and-white to a colour one is described. The program broadcasting formats’ place in history within a specified period is also revealed.
