An early piece of east european mediaeval protective armour excavated in Krasnodar territory

The paper discusses the earliest piece of lamellar armour in Eastern Europeexcavated in burial 12, kurgan 1 of the Vostochnomalaisky II cemetery. A detailed typolo-gy of plates and the modes of their attachment are suggested. General features of construc-tion of lamellar armour of the 6 th c. are discussed. Graphic reconstruction of the armouris published.
