Early sexual debut as a predictor of risky sexual behaviour of youth

Studying the example of three Eastern Europe countries: Russia, Latvia, and Poland - the authors examine, how sexual debut at early age may affect further sexual behaviour patterns of youth aged 16-24 (1596 respondents). The sex debut before the age of 15 was reported by 8.2% of females and 17.6% of males. In the long-term perspective the early sex debut was independently linked with such negative outcomes as refusal of using condoms and having multiply sex partners.
