Early diagnosis and psychotherapeutic correction of PTSD as a prevention of comorbid alcohol addiction in combatants

Analysis of the contemporary state of the problem of posttraumatic stress disorder and comorbid with PTSD states in combatants has been given. Significance of predisposing, including personality, factors is identified in development of PTSD, course, clinical manifestations and borders of the disorder, questions of differential diagnosis, specifity of clinical symptoms depending on peculiarities of pathogenic stress, clinical dynamic and prognosis. The most frequently found states comorbid with PTSD are described. Comorbid with PTSD alcohol addiction in combatants is analyzed. Peculiar malignancy of the course of this disorder is noticed in combatants. Incompleteness of clinical study of this disorder and necessity of further deep investigations has been shown. Results of their own preliminary investigation are presented.
