Neuritis or inflammation of the facial nerve is a phenomenon that occurs in both adults and children. There are various reasons for this pathology, but the main symptoms are the same. These are violations of the mobility of the face, the loss of the ability to control individual groups of facial muscles. The incidence of neuropathy of the facial nerve in the world among children is 15 cases per 1000 population per year. Among the cases, children aged 12 to 17 years predominate, they account for more than 70% of all cases of NFN.
