The subject of the study is the shedding performed on a shuttleless loom. The calculation technique is described for calculating the technological loads produced by base threads through the heddle onto healds during shedding. Calculations of technological loads are performed at the dwelling stage with the shed being full open for the conditions of fabric production on the STB2-180 loom. Clean, non-clean and mixed types of shed were considered for calculations. The influence of the degree of differently stretched shed branches on technological loads is determined. The results of calculations are presented in diagrams. The suggested calculation technique allows determining the total technological loads produced by base threads onto all healds during shedding for various fabric interlacing. The technic enables to optimize the shed parameters in order to reduce these loads.
