Determination of the angle between the anatomic axes of femur and tibia in case of creation of the lower limb indiviadual axis by X-ray data

The method of transosseous osteosynthesis allows the correction of the axis of the lower limbs, depending on the patient's wishes. Specificity of treatment of patients with "O" - or "X" -shaped deformation of the axis of the lower limbs requires a guaranteed achievement of the task. We propose a method for calculating the angle created by the femoral and tibial bones at the level of the knee, which is determined individually for each patient, depending on the width of the pelvis, the length of the thigh and the length of the shin. The method of calculating the axis of the lower limb was used in the treatment of 13 female patients who applied to the clinic of the RNC "WTO" with complaints about "O" -shaped deformity of the lower limbs. The age of patients is 15 to 37 years.
