In pregnant ewes of the Gissarskaya breed (the «Raushan» peasant farm, South Kazakhstan oblast’, Republic of Kazakhstan) the authors revealed that the sodium content in investigated organs and tissues gradually raises with increasing of duration of pregnancy: in bone — by 5.4 % (P > 0.05), in adipose tissue — by 22.1 % (P > 0.05), in muscle tissue — by 40.3 % (P 0.05), in spleen — 2.9-fold. Thereby, absorbed sodium in whole distributes in organs and tissues evenly, but considerable part of it accumulates in connective tissue, spleen and skin, performed the functions of water depot, and also lies in bones. Consequently, with increasing of duration of pregnancy the sodium necessity in eves and developing embryo is enhanced.
