The numbers of different physiological groups of bacteria-destructors were calculated in coastal sediments of shallow-water Posolsky Sor Bay and site of open Baikal Boyarsk. Increase in the numbers of bacteria is observed in Posolsky Sor sediments in comparison vith the number in sediments of Boyarsk
