The incidence of liver pathologies in cats in the city of Astrakhan

The article presents results of studies on the incidence of non-infectious liver diseases in cats, using the city of Astrakhan as an example. The study was conducted at the Vavilov Saratov State University of Genetics, Biotechnology and Engineering, as well as the Favorite Pets veterinary clinic, and was an independent study. 1,283 case histories were analyzed all in all for 2022-2024. From 1,283 cases of cat owners’ visits, 102 cases had liver diseases, 16 of which underwent histopathological examination.
