Distribution of sulfatreducing bacteria in soda lakes of Zabaikalie

A number of sulfatreducing bacteria in ground deposits and sandy floor-mats of soda lakes Solenoe, Doroninskoe and Zun-Torey was studied. It is shown that sulfatreducing bacteria are widely distributed in these soda lakes. Maximum amount of sulfatreducing bacteria is contained in superficial and deep layers of ground deposits and in superficial layer of sandy floor-mat.
