Distribution of broadband internet access in the Volga federal district: analysis of general tendencies and features

The market of broadband Internet access is a driving factor of telecommunications development in Russia. However, despite the high dynamics of this market growth, the level of distribution of the broadband Internet access in Russia is far from saturation. Providing all population of the country with the Internet access is a complex problem of the state, the resolving of which can affect the Russian economy in general. The Volga federal district is a leader of the country on industrial output, and the market of services, in particular the telecommunication ones, also develops rapidly. The article carries out a comparative analysis of the telecommunication market development in the region. The authors reveal the main tendencies and give the forecasts.
