Chronic inflammatory diseases of the digestive tract (gastritis, duodenitis, peptic ulcer, duodenal ulcer, colitis, enteritis) account for the major part of digestive lesions. Gastric and duodenal ulcer is a chronic recurrent disease, which is characterized by the formation of ulcers of the mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum during exacerbation. Peptic ulcer disease is one of the most common diseases (about 5-10% of the adult population), ranking second after CHD. The disease is predominantly spread in men under 50 years old. Since they currently occupy the leading place in the structure of adult morbidity, this problem should be considered both from clinical and fundamental, as well as from epidemiological and prophylactic positions. It is necessary to give priority to epidemiological methods of gastroduodenal diseases revealing at drug addicts, taking into account their high specificity and sensitivity in diagnostics of inflammatory ulcerous lesions of the stomach and duodenum.
