Extension of surgery for lung cancer

Short-and long-term results of surgical treatment including systematic mediastinal lymphodissection for 150 patients with stage I-b IIIA lung cancer were analyzed. The rates of postoperative complications and postoperative lethality were 21.3 % and 6.7 %, respectively. The 3-year survival rate was 70 % and the 5-year survival rate was 59 %.
