Classifcation of metastatic liver invilvement

The authors present their own classification of metastatic involvement of the liver. Characteristics of liver metastases were analyzed for 316 patients with gastrointestinal cancer. Results of 1-year survival for 42 patients who underwent cytoredictive operation on primary tumor, radiofrequency thermoablation of liver metastases and chemotherapy were studied. All patients had survived for more than 1 year.
