Discussions on the targeting in the field of sanction instrumentation in the theory and practice of international political influence

In the article, within the framework of doctrinal reasoning, an attempt is made to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of targeted sanctions as a foreign policy tool in the theory and practice of international political influence. In the context of the comparative analysis, despite the considerable effectiveness of the research institute, the author identified the main problem associated with such sanctions, which consists in the fact that they do not guarantee the absence of side effects. It is consistently concluded that today targeted sanctions need to be revised in view of not generating the expected results from them, and the ongoing improvement of financial sanctions is effected by transferring their scope from the physical world to cyberspace, which, according to the intentions of world politics actors, is intended to preserve the best features of economic instruments.
