Equilibrium of the positional isomerization of t-butil diphenyl oxides and t-butil phenols

The chemical equilibrium in the system diphenyl oxide - t-butyl diphenyl oxide in the liquid phase was studied. The reactions of (o- p-), (p- m-) isomerization was considered. We obtain the equilibrium constants of studied reactions. Based on the experimental data of this work we have developed the method for interpretation of equilibrium constants of alkyl phenols. The similar level of isomerization degree for "o- p-", "p- m-" t-butyl diphenyl oxides and t-butyl phenols has shown.
