Solving crossword puzzles. Some results

The article contains some results of the analysis of information obtained as a resultof the author's solving numerous crossword puzzles. It is shown that irreversible neural connections formed in memory when memorizing a word, ensure its easy recall, in the absence of disturbing factors, regardless of the period of memorization and the number of references to this word earlier. The main obstacle is the ТОТ (tip-of-the-tonque) phenomenon. However, in the present case, its action is limited only to the initial stage of remembering the word. Further on, it is blocked by the appearance of hint words, which is due to the structure of the crossword puzzle. Hypothese about the absence of the influence of the TOT phenomenon on the appearance of the visual image associated with the recalled word are made in this article.
