Russian society is ambiguous in terms of its political activism or passivity. There are several arguments supporting the former viewpoint. Firstly, a high voter turnout at elections indicates some degree of civic activity. However, the low level of the population's involvement in political life inclines us, rather, to the recognition of the Russian society as passive. In order to reliably establish the nature of citizens' political integration in modern conditions a study was conducted. The aim was to determine the degree of participation of the country's population in making electoral decisions and the involvement of citizens in political life at the federal and local levels. During the analysis, a political activity correlation index was applied, which allowed adjusting the obtained results in accordance with the legal provisions corresponding to the actual measurement of political activity in Russia.
