The dendrochronological analysis of radial tree growth has shown that forest stands in the Lena-Amga watershed located in the eastern part of the study area experience water deficit in summer. The main rea-son has been found to be the abundance of thaw depressions (alases) which exert a significant influence on the water balance of this area.
