Different views on the economics of globalization

This study is primarily an overview of globalization, contributing factors, as well as concomitant factors of this phenomenon, namely: technological and industrial progress, the emergence of the Internet. The authors study the historical part of the issue related to the international progress in the comprehension of this concept — from the XV century up to today. The paper also considers various points of view on the impact of globalization on the world order: an economic view that justifies the introduction of globalization from the position of providing a choice of certain goods to the population. The issue is also analyzed from the political side — this, in its turn, is justified by a significant preponderance in the positive aspects of following this philosophy rather than the negative ones. It is noted that competition creates a certain kind of potential for new, large and effective achievements, creates an environment that ultimately improves the standard of living of citizens. Globalization promotes cooperation between the first and the third countries, and the third countries receive huge advantages due to the availability of resources and technologies thanks to more developed and wealthy countries. Of course, as a negative aspect, it is emphasized that as a result of the progress of globalization in a particular country, a kind of economic balance is disturbed: everything that happens in one part of the world reflects on the other part.
