The innovational activity becomes an essential element of the strategy of economic development and growth of manufacturing enterprises. Issue of determination the enterprise efficiency (in case of release of new types of products using new materials, technologies, implementation of new projects) doesn`t resolve methodologically and practically. The economic interest of an innovative enterprise in the market is not always obvious. Innovative enterprises are subject to additional costs and risks due to the high level of uncertainty in project implementation. Within the framework of this article, the models for identifying the optimal production plan depending on the size of the enterprise and a number of options for the development strategy were considered. A grouping of approaches to measuring the size of an enterprise based on morphological characteristics was carried out, which made it possible to determine their semantic and methodological relationship.
