Reproduction of conifers green cuttings with the use of new biological products

The article is devoted to improvement of technology of production of seedlings of coniferous breeds with the method of green grafting through the use of environmentally safe biological products Zircon and Ribav-extra. The experiments were carried out in 2013-2015 in the municipal unitary enterprise "Kommunalnik" in the city of Orel, the Orel region in the conditions of protected and open ground. The soil in the nursery is dark grey forest, medium loamy according to mechanical composition. The soil contains 3.5% of humus. They are provided with medium phosphorus (5-10 mg/100g air dry soil) and with high interchangeable calcium (15-25 mg/100g air dry soil). Acidity (pH) of the salt extraction is 6.0 to 6.3. Rooting of green cuttings was conducted in plastic greenhouses with automated fogging. Green cuttings were planted in a substrate from a mixture of compost, humus, loam, and coarse sand, taken in equal quantities. Exogenous treatments of cuttings of softwood in the beginning of the rooting stimulators of growth Zircon and Ribav-extra positively affect the growth and development of the root system, increase the hardiness of seedlings compared to treatment with IAA. Studies have confirmed the adaptogenic effect of foliar treatments of rooted cuttings of conifers biostimulants Zircon and Ribav-extra. So, on the test option where we used the IAA, wintered from 66.5 (thujaoccidentalis Golden) to 80% (juniper Cossack) rooted cuttings. Most breeds have higher responsiveness to treatment with the drug Ribav-extra. The number of overwintered plants ranged 83.3 (thujaoccidentalis) - 97.7 (juniper Cossack). When using Zircon the number of rooted cuttings depending on the breed increased in comparison with the control by 2.9-15.7% and the number of overwintered plants - 6.0-12.9%. When using the drug Ribav-extra, the increase was 18.8 is 27.4 and 10.2 and 17.7%, respectively. A more effective method is the processing of green cuttings of softwood ecologically safe preparation Ribav-extra at a concentration of 1 ml/10 liters of water for 18 hours.
