Development of an 8-channel MIMO antenna system with dual polarization for 5G communications

The paper presents the results of the design and modeling of radiating elements for MIMO antenna systems of the n79 range (4.85.0 GHz), applicable in 5G networks. Three configurations are considered: a single element, a 1 х 8 linear array and a 4 х 8 MIMO array. Optimization of parameters to minimize the reflection coefficient, such as the diameter of the patch and the director, allowed for improved antenna matching. The simulation was carried out using modern electromagnetic methods and covers the analysis of S-parameters, radiation patterns and polarization characteristics.
