Development of dosing module of space seeding machine SSM-870

A dosing module for the SSM-870 space seeding machine was developed and patented at the Center for Engineering and Transfer of Don State Agrarian University. This module operates with an injection air flow during dosing and transportation of row crops seeds into the furrow, and it is manufactured by OOO «Taganrogselmash in Taganrog», Rostov Region. The purpose of its development is to increase the working speed and to improve the quality of dosing of row crops. The dosing module has the following distinctive features: dosing of seeds in two rows, versatility, the ability to dose seeds of various row crops, single-seeded dosing of seeds, economical sowing of seed, high-quality dosing of seeds. A laboratory research, aimed at identifying the qualitative indicators of the implementation of the technological process of the developed dosing module, was carried out. The study was carried out as part of state tests at the Federal State Budgetary Institution «North Caucasus MIS» in 2019. Bench tests were carried out in accordance with GOST 31345-2017. In general, the study confirmed the declared characteristics and quality of the metering modules of the SSS-870. Therefore, the presented dosing module, which uses an injection air flow for sowing row crops, can be used in agricultural production.
