The authors present the results of investigations of autonomous thermal control subsystem of the unit of antennas mechanical guidance system. Processing of telemetry data for a revolution of the spacecraft, named «Luch-5A», is done. Critical modes of operation of the subsystem are investigated as well. Experimental investigations of simulation of antenna pointing subsystem operation at the orbit with heat shield and without it are conducted. Verification of the data with the calculated values, obtained by mathematical modeling on the end of each mode, is done.
