Determination of tannins in extracts from the grass of narrow-leaved cypress

At different temperature values in the range from 40 to 100 °C (in increments of 20 °C), aqueous and aqueous-ethanol extracts from the herb Cypress were obtained, which are used by the population of our country as tonics. The presence of tannins in the extracts was proved and their quantitative determination was carried out. It has been found that the maximum release of tannins occurs in aqueous solutions and depends more on the extraction temperature than on the use of aqueous ethanol solutions as an extractant.
