Development of insecticidal compositions based on synthetic pyrethroids and synergistic substances from the benzodioxolane group

The most widely used method of pest control at the moment is a chemical method based on the treatment of agricultural plants with insecticides. However, insects in the process of adaptation can become resistant to the drugs used. One of the ways to combat this phenomenon is the inclusion of special synergistic substances in the composition of preparations that enhance the biological activity of the active substances in the preparations. In the course of the work, the possibility of creating insecticidal compositions based on synthetic pyrethroids and benzodioxolanes was investigated. In order to confirm the effectiveness of insecticidal compositions including synthetic pyrethroids, as well as synergistic substances from the benzodioxolane group (synthetic piperanyl butoxide or natural alkaloids - piperine and piperic acid contained in black pepper), working formulations based on these compounds were developed and their biotesting was carried out. Biotesting was carried out on common bean plants (Phaseolus vulgaris Linnaeus), a medium-ripened variety, infected with insect pests (greenhouse whitefly - Trialeurodes vaporariorum). According to the results of the use of piperine, the greatest effect was achieved with the ratios of permethrin and synergistic substances in the range of 30-60% and 70-40%, respectively, and the maximum insecticidal effect was manifested in a solution with 40% PM and 60% piperine. In the case of using synthetic synergistic substances (piperanyl butoxide), the greatest effect was observed in solutions in which the content of synthetically pyrethroids was minimal compared to synergistic substances. The results of biotesting confirm the effectiveness of the developed compositions and can be used as a promising basis for the creation of new means of protecting agricultural plants from insect pests.
