The design of energy systems is a complex process, which is characterized by significant costs of resources, as well as many problems that arise at the stage of selecting equipment necessary for the functioning of the system. For reliable and efficient energy system design, it is necessary to develop an intelligent system that will quickly process large volumes of the necessary information, identify possible costs of capital construction of energy facilities, and also analyze their economic efficiency. The article is devoted to the development of an intelligent system for calculating the economic component of energy industry facilities and their economic characteristics. The analysis of the activity of intelligent systems is carried out, the trends and the need for the use of intelligent systems in the energy industry are considered.
